Experience
I attended the University of Virginia, where I received two undergraduate degrees in Economics (with a Public Policy emphasis) and Math (with a Finance emphasis). I'm still unsure what I want to do professionally, but I do have a passion for teaching. Since graduating, I've been teaching and coaching at a private preparatory school. I teach Mathematics to middle school and high school students. I make sure to be available to students for individual sessions in addition to class lessons. I integrate patience into my teaching strategy. I also believe that teachers need to have efficient mediating skills. Because I'm so passionate about my academic interests, I really enjoy passing my passion along to others, especially in Science, History, Writing, and Mathematics. During my time at UVA, I tutored Economics to my peers and also Science and Math to middle school students. I can work with students in many subjects, including Algebra, Calculus, Differential Equations, Geometry, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Astronomy, SAT test prep, etc. In my free time, I like to play sports and read.
